Another fast-paced time-management game emerges from Youda, this time in Survivor fashion. Facing the tribes of a long lost island, you must navigate levels that gain in complexity and difficulty as you progress.

Much in the same vein as Farm Frenzy and Emily’s Taste of Fame, you are presented with small tasks that gain momentum and ever-challenging complexity. You start with some grass, you dig a hole and a seagull lands. It lays an egg and you concoct potions to give yourself more energy.

Youda:Survivor differs in some ways because it has little side routes you can take that give you bonuses or earn extra points. There are plenty of ways to earn achievements and there are also totems to collects. Tribal bonuses are meant to make the game easier to play but of course with each level’s difficulty continuing to rise, I’m not certain how much a gain they really make.

Youda Survivor screenshot 2The story is fun and cute, and the graphics are clean and engaging. The soundtrack is a little monotonous after a while, but each level should take you less than 10 mins (the first ones take less than a minute and then average around 5 minutes), so this is perfect for just slamming in a couple of quick levels the moment you get some time to yourself.

From my point of view, the game did become a little monotonous after a while, but these aren’t my favourite type and I’m not particularly skilled at time-managment. Having said that, I can easily imagine any time-management freak loving this type of game to bits and wanting to collect all the trophies and all receive all the achievements.
